Growing herbs in containers is an increasingly popular pastime.

The containers can be indoors, out of doors under a tree, on the back porch, just about anywhere that the growing needs of the plants are met. They can also be grown in window boxes or hanging baskets. Growing herbs in pots has advantages over growing them in the garden because they are easy to get to, however the requirements are different. Indoor herb gardens have different needs from herbs in containers in the garden.
